Lustro Hotel Group and Langham Hospitality Group sign a memorandum of understanding for a new luxury development in Glenelg North.
The Lustro Hotel Group is to begin work on a multi level development in Glenelg North following demolition and construction in April 2017. The mixed-use development will include a luxury retail district, state of the art living and a five-star hotel called Langham Place, Adelaide.
Lustro Hotel Group owner and developer Bruno Marveggio said "This latest development will be the largest accommodation project in Glenelg since Liberty Towers over a decade ago. Glenelg is a South Australian jewel we’re very proud of and my goal is to share its beauty with both local and international tourists”.
“The South Australian region continues to experience strong growth as a leisure destination,” says Robert Warman, chief executive officer of Langham Hospitality Group. “By partnering with the Lustro Hotel Group, we are pleased with the opportunity to add another luxury hotel to our global collection and further strengthen the Group’s presence in the Pacific.”
The hotel is scheduled for a soft opening in mid 2019 and is positioning itself amongst the best in the country. All guestrooms and suites of the hotel showcase designer interior spaces featuring contemporary finishes and inclusions as well as views across the ocean or the Adelaide Hills.
Some of the features will include a landscaped terrace garden with pool deck and a copper toned ceiling reflecting the water below. An on-site sommelier, cafe and a 200 person grand ballroom are also part of the plan.
Sonia Lefevre, CEO Hotel Asset Management and Development of Lustro Hotel Group said “When we open the doors to Langham Place, Adelaide and the complementary luxury retail, residences and hospitality spaces, Adelaide will finally become a contender in the luxury space for both locals and interstate visitors”.
