The owners of the former Blackman Hotel 452 St Kilda Road Melbourne for lease and looking for a new operator to run the 209 room hotel in the highly regarded St Kilda Road Precinct. The Expressions of Interest process will be led by JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group Nick MacFie Associate Investment Sales and Peter Harper Managing Director Head of Investment Sales Australasia.
JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group have been exclusively appointed to market the hotel operations of what is considered one of Melbourne’s finest lifestyle hotels. The Expressions of Interest process will be led by Nick MacFie, Associate - Investment Sales, and Peter Harper, Managing Director – Head of Investment Sales Australasia.
Originally an Art Series hotel, and a sibling of the Cullen and Olsen Hotels in Prahran and South Yarra respectively, this 209 room hotel comes fully furnished and ready for a new operator to commence this year. With a gymnasium, two food and beverage offerings and four conference rooms, it presents a unique opportunity for an operator to gain immediate branding of an international standard hotel and one of the city’s most renowned assets.
"This hotel has an exceptional reputation and long been considered one of the best hotels in inner city Melbourne. Having been the preference for a number of corporate accounts, and with a strong weekend leisure following, there will be plenty of guests waiting for its reopening. We have no doubt that hotel operators will be extremely interested in taking over the property and benefitting from its historical success, together with the future potential offered by the growth in, and transformation of, the St Kilda Road precinct”, said Mr MacFie.
"We anticipate that a lot of hotel operators will recognise this may be one of the last opportunities for some time to secure guaranteed branding and management of a large-scale hotel in Melbourne. Given its market positioning, it will suit major hotel management companies looking to expand their suite of brands in the market, together with the many ambitious boutique operators looking to grow or leverage their existing operations”, added Mr Harper.
The hotel operator selection process was secured by JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group given their unrivalled local presence, success in the Melbourne market and track record in the hotel operator selection space.
