Cross Hotels & Resorts continues its strategic expansion in Indonesia with the signing of Hotel Management Agreement (HMA) with PT Bali Penida Jaya for “CROSS CELESTA NUSA PENIDA” - an upcoming luxury eco resort set to redefine sustainable hospitality.
Set to welcome guests in 2027, the resort will offer 61 luxury tented villas and world-class facilities, including infinity pools, a spa, a fitness and recovery centre, a signature restaurant, and versatile event spaces for weddings and corporate gatherings. The resort also brings together Cross Hotels & Resorts' design-led expertise, PT Bali Penida Jaya’s deep destination knowledge, the sustainable architecture of Escape Nomade, and the landscaping mastery of SHL (Swarna Hutama Loka), designed to minimize environmental impact while advancing sustainable tourism in Nusa Penida, an emerging global destination.
This strategic partnership strengthens Cross Hotels & Resorts’ growing footprint in Indonesia. With six distinct brands— Cross, Cross Vibe, Away, Lumen, Cross Collection, and Kaura—the company continues to establish itself as APAC’s leading alternative to global hotel operators.
"This landmark development further solidifies our expansion strategy in Indonesia. Our collaboration with PT Bali Penida Jaya underscores our ability to drive performance, elevate market positioning, and create long-term value for owners. Moreover, with our commitment to responsible tourism, this project is designed to minimize environmental impact through its tented villa concept, ensuring minimal land disruption while supporting sustainable tourism efforts." said Harry Thaliwal, CEO of Cross Hotels & Resorts.
Ivan Sindoro, CEO of PT Bali Penida Jaya, commented: “We have envisioned more than just a place to stay—we have crafted an experience where travelers can immerse themselves in Nusa Penida’s breathtaking beauty and rich cultural heritage. By seamlessly blending modern comforts with authentic spirit of the island, we offer a sanctuary where relaxation, adventure, and discovery harmoniously coexist. This milestone marks our unwavering commitment to redefining hospitality on the island, and we look forward to welcoming guests to experience a destination that is as inspiring as it is serene. Partnering with Cross Hotels & Resorts was also a strategic choice, leveraging their global distribution and innovative hospitality approach to set a new benchmark for the destination.”
Evan Burns, Indonesia Country Manager of Cross Hotels & Resorts, added: “Our ‘Luxury by Design’ philosophy comes to life in this destination, offering a distinctive stay in a location that is growing in appeal. This project reinforces our commitment to bringing premium experiences to Indonesia.”
