Millennium Hotels and Resorts opens a cutting-edge, themed new hotel in Auckland on the waterfront.
Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ M Social brand has just launched its second property, the M Social Auckland. The first property in the group is the M Social Singapore, which was designed by Philippe Starck.
The waterfront hotel in Auckland’s CBD has 190 rooms, divided into five themes: Social Room, Social View Room, Social Club Room, Social Tribe Room and Social Tribe View Room.
In addition, there are two categories of suites: Harbour Suite and Ocean Suite. All rooms boast Auckland Harbour views from their floor-to-ceiling windows.
Each level of M Social Auckland has a unique feature, highlighting local cultural elements such as native fauna, marine life and literature.
The ‘Social View’ rooms can be found on the upper floors with outstanding Harbour views.
The ‘Social Tribe’ rooms have two interconnecting bedrooms, perfect for families.
The Harbour Suite and Ocean Suite have large living spaces and exceptional Harbour views.
“We are extremely excited to bring such a vibrant lifestyle hotel to Auckland that embraces local culture. Not only will M Social Auckland provide the perfect base for travellers, it will constantly evolve and become a local hotspot for those who live, work and play in the area to socialise,” said Nigel Edwards, General Manager of M Social Auckland.
“Following the much-anticipated launch of M Social Singapore in June 2016, we are delighted to expand our portfolio further with the launch of M Social Auckland. The property strengthens our lifestyle offering, and with plans to expand the brand further in the near future, it is a very exciting time for us,” said Franck Kermarrec, Chief Marketing Officer at Millennium Hotels and Resorts.
The M Social brand prides itself on its cutting-edge technology, and provides guests with a digital information pack to help navigate the high-tech smart TVs in each room which provide hotel information plus apps catering for both business and leisure travellers. The hotel also displays information such as transport timetables, weather forecasts and details on local activities on a media wall at the hotel.
To make check-in smooth and seamless, there are self-check-in kiosks in addition to its traditional reception desk and concierge service.
For event planners and delegates, M Social Auckland also has various high-tech meeting spaces and boardrooms for events for between 5-50 guests.
