Quest Apartment Hotels opened its latest property, Quest St Kilda Road, just weeks before the start of Melbourne’s world-class sporting event, the Australian Grand Prix.
Located between Commercial and Toorak roads, the apartment hotel is just a short walk to Albert Park Lake and provides easy access to Melbourne’s central business district and the bay-side suburb of St Kilda.
Quest Apartment Hotels General Manager – Growth, James Shields, said Quest St Kilda Road is a perfect choice for business and leisure travellers visiting the cultural and business precincts that make up the area.
“St Kilda Road is a key thoroughfare into Melbourne’s Central Business District and hosts many major corporate and government headquarters. We believe the Melbourne Metro project will provide a further catalyst for the corridor, connecting businesses with the CBD through improved public transport accessibility.

“In addition, the amenities provided by Royal Botanical Gardens, Albert Park and Melbourne’s world-class arts precinct will be greatly enjoyed by business travellers, families and larger groups alike. We are certainly happy to open Quest St Kilda Road in time for one of Australia’s premier sporting events,” Mr Shields said.
The apartment hotel was developed by EBG Development and features 104 serviced apartments including studio, one and two bedroom apartments. The site forms part of the New Charsfield development, a mixed-use development integrating the heritage listed Charsfield Mansion in its foreground.

Catherine Mapperson, who started her career as a receptionist at Quest South Yarra Mews, was appointed franchisee by the apartment hotel operator. Quest St Kilda Road is Catherine’s third Quest franchise and she brings more than 20 years of apartment-hotel management experience to the role.
“We’ve generated a lot of interest from the business community, but we’re also pleased to see large groups and families choosing Quest St Kilda Road as their extended stay accommodation of choice.
“The City of Melbourne, South Melbourne and Albert Park Lake contains some of Australia’s most recognised landmarks and commercial centres, so we’re very pleased with the unique service-offering this location allows,” Ms Mapperson said.
Quest St Kilda Road features complimentary WiFi, business lounge, a gymnasium and wheelchair accessibility. Additional services include room service powered by Deliveroo, on-site carparking, valet dry cleaning and concierge, housekeeping and business administration services.
Quest St Kilda Road is one of eight new properties scheduled to open across Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom over the next two years including Burwood East (VIC), Joondalup (WA), Orange, North Sydney (NSW), Quest Tauranga Central, Quest on Tuam, Quest Mount Eden (NZ) and Liverpool (UK).
