Crown Resorts has announced the winners of the Crown Sydney Artist Initiative, which invited early career and emerging photographers to submit original works in five categories.
The winners have been announced for the Crown Sydney Artist initiative, with the successful entries now being exhibited.
Designed to coincide with the construction of the new hotel, the Crown Sydney Artist Initiative invited submissions across five categories, with winners and finalists to have their work adorn the walls of Sydney’s first six-star hotel when it opens in February 2021.
The successful works will also featured on the Crown Sydney Artist Initiative website and published in the Art of Crown hardbound book, which will be featured in all Crown Resorts properties.

The competition received more than 3,000 entries and winners received cash prizes for an approximate total of $60,000.
The overall winner was Yan Kurniawan, a Sydney-based IT/Cloud Engineer, who moved to the city from Salatiga, Central Java, Indonesia in 2014.
The Crown Sydney Art Initiative Exhibition of the winning competition work will run from 20th November to 4th December 2019.
Crown Resorts and the Packer Foundation plans to allocate $19.2 million to its Arts Education Initiative open grants program across the next three years, servicing more than 60 recipient programs, while also supporting arts and cultural institutions across Australia.
