Iconic Hotels has announced that a new 52-room, four-star hotel is on track to open in March this year in the South Coast of New South Wales.
The NSW South Coast's rebuilding tourism sector has received a boost with the announcement that Iconic Hotels its first coastal offering will open at Malua Bay next month.
Abode Malua Bay will be the seventh property within the Abode Hotels portfolio, and ninth hotel overall for the independent hotel and hospitality provider.
The hotel's arrival comes at a critical time for the South Coast community, as businesses and families affected by the recent catastrophic bushfires rebuild their towns and livelihoods.
During the bushfires, many residents of Malua Bay took shelter at the hotel site, when the fire was at its worst.
Iconic Hotels General Manager Rien Donkin said that Abode Hotels was committed to contributing to the regrowth and regeneration of the greater South Coast region.

"The addition of Abode Malua Bay to the hotel portfolio is highly anticipated by our existing guests seeking a seaside stay and further diversifies our offering for new domestic and international visitors,” he said.
"As part of the Geocon Group, Iconic Hotels is pleased to bring another high-quality development to the market to support jobs and the economy in Canberra and the region."
