COO at Minor Hotels Craig Hooley and VP at AustCham Thailand Brenton Mauriello have presented bushfire donation cheques to Senator of Victoria David Van and The Salvation Army Australia.
Oaks Hotels, Resorts and Suites have teamed up with AustCham Thailand to donate more than $70,000 to Australia's bushfire relief effort.
Minor Hotels Chief Operating Officer Craig Hooley, was joined by Vice-President of AustCham Thailand, Brenton Mauriello, in presenting respective donation cheques to The Salvation Army Australia in a special ceremony at Oaks Melbourne on Market Hotel.
Minor Hotels donated $9,246, while AustCham donated $60, 854.
Earlier in 2020, Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites created a ‘Bushfire Support Offer’ which supported those affected by the bushfires with seven complimentary room nights at any Oaks in Australia.

Mr Hooley said the company was glad to have an opportunity to support Australians suffering from the impact of the catastrophic fires.
“Travellers have frequently turned to Oaks as a home away from home so it was important for us to make sure we are there to lend a helping hand to families affected by the bushfires," he said
"We are pleased to be able to contribute further through this donation to The Salvation Army.”
