InterContinental Hotels Group has announced the launch of a domestic recovery campaign to encourage staycation and self-drive experiences across Australia and New Zealand.
InterContinental Hotels Group is set to reward Australians and New Zealanders for their response to the COVID-19 pandemic as part of a new domestic travel campaign.
Aptly named ‘There’s More to See,’ the initiative is designed to inspire domestic travellers to rediscover the wonders close to home, from the fresh air of Hunter Valley to the cosmopolitan coastal capital of Adelaide, wineries of Perth, laneways of Melbourne and beyond.
The campaign includes all opened hotels and resorts in Australia, as well as New Zealand for domestic travel.

InterContinental Hotels Group Managing Director for Australasia and Japan, Leanne Harwood, told WILLIAMS MEDIA she expected trans Tasman travellers to explore with renewed vigour once restrictions were eased.
“Aussies and Kiwis have a great propensity to travel, and while the road to recovery is going to be steep, it makes me incredibly hopeful to see restrictions easing and eagerness from travellers to start exploring again," she said.
"This time has given many of us a new appreciation for the beauty of our own backyard and we can’t wait to start welcoming back guests at our hotels and resorts, safely, flexibly and with our true hospitality.”
