The Prendiville Group has announced Western Australia's newest island accommodation, Samphire Rottnest, is due to open in October, with bookings available from July 28.
Western Australia's Rottnest Island is set to welcome a new variety of Samphire in the form a resort opening this October.
The regenerative, long-living plants native to the area have been used in the title of the upcoming venue from the Prendiville Group, which is due to take bookings from next week.
Situated on Thomson Bay, next door to the iconic Hotel Rottnest, the 80-room Samphire Rottnest includes lagoon-like pools, native landscaping and outdoor dining inspired by the rugged coastlines and native flora of the island.

Perth architects Christou Design Group aimed to bring a "relaxed, coastal vibe" to each of the 64 30-square-metre guest rooms positioned at the front-row, all of which come with private balconies overlooking an array of vantage points around the property and Thomson Bay.
Pale wood-panelled walls, breezy linen curtains and sisal matting give way to stone bathroom finishes and quality amenities, such as a locally-sourced mini bar and Smart TV, as well as complimentary wifi throughout.
Beyond the in-room amenities, Samphire Rottnest incorporates an indoor/outdoor dining hub, Beach Club, lounge and poolside offerings.
There are also conference and event spaces that connect with Hotel Rottnest and offer the capacity for a range of celebrations.
