Best Western Hotels & Resorts hotels across Australasia have featured prominently in the Tripadvisor Travellers' Choice Awards winners list for 2020, with 42 of the brand's venues from the region receiving the accolade.

The awards, formerly known as Tripadvisor’s Certificates of Excellence, recognise accommodation that consistently earns great reviews from travellers.

Travellers’ Choice winners are ranked within the top 10 per cent of properties on Tripadvisor.

At a glance: 

• Best Western Hotels & Resorts have received more than 40 Tripadvisor Travelers' Choice Awards for venues across Australasia.

In addition to its overall tally, Best Western also had nine properties inducted into the Tripadvisor Hall of Fame, following five successive years of receiving the award.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts Australasia Managing Director, Graham Perry, told WILLIAMS MEDIA the awards were particularly meaningful due to the fact they represented the voice of the consumer.

"These results are extremely pleasing and illustrate the positive outcomes BWH Hotel Group is driving by focusing on the guest experience," he said.

"Supporting this is the fact that we now take guest reviews into account within our annual Quality Assurance process to ensure that our hotels remain brand compliant.

"I would say to all businesses that maintaining an ‘outside-looking-in’ guest perspective of your business is absolutely paramount in 2020."

Mr Perry added feedback from travel management companies and industry analysis showed that guests were increasingly being drawn to major trusted brands where their health and wellbeing would being looked after.

"This is why we have implemented the “We Care Clean” program featuring consistent hygiene protocols across all our hotels to protect our guests and staff during this challenging time," he said.

"The Tripadvisor results show that we’re on the right track."
