Hotel refurbishment specialist Reward Group are currently in the final stages of completing the upgrade of all the guestrooms at the Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley, with a handover of Stage 3 expected later this month.

Completed in partnership with Cassmar Hotels and IHG Hotels & Resorts, the project has consisted of four stages, which followed the development of an initial prototype room in mid-2019. 

The first stage, which comprised 30 King Rooms, was completed in January of this year.

Reward Group has since completed the second stage and is now working on the 26 Deluxe Rooms that make up Stage 3, as well as the public bathroom refurbishments.

Updates have included all new wall linings and ceilings; full bathroom refurbishment; new floor finishes; new hydraulic, electrical, mechanical and fire services; custom joinery and furniture throughout.

Reward Group Director Christopher Donohue said the company took a collaborative approach to assist its client in being able to identify and engage the interior designer that would be the best fit for the style and locale of the property.

"Reward worked with the interior designers, Crowne Plaza Hawkesbury Valley and the owners to refine the initial design to reflect the vision of the hotels owners and bring the concept to fruition prior to moving forward with the Prototype Room and then staged construction," he said.

"The final stage of the project, consisting of 22 Guest Rooms, is scheduled to commence in mid-late January 2021 to enable the hotel to have use of all guest rooms for the busy December/January Holidays."
