The JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa recently announced its newest partnership with the Currumbin Wildlife Hospital, responsible for the rehabilitation of sick and wounded wildlife across Queensland.
Guests will now be able to book a special two-night family package (two adults and two children under the age of 12), inclusive of an interactive behind the scenes tour to the Wildlife Hospital when they visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. The package also includes a $100 food and beverage credit, complimentary valet parking, and welcome amenity from the hospital.
The Wildlife Hospital is located only 18 kilometres from the JW Marriott Gold Coast. Here, guests can immerse themselves in a 60-minute tour (Monday - Friday) of the hospital where the brave staff treats and nurtures Australian wildlife back to health until they can ultimately release them back into the wild.
JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa’s General Manager, Ravinder Dhesi said: “We’re so pleased to have the opportunity to direct our guests to visit the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and support the exceptional and important work that the Wildlife Hospital does.”
In 2020 the hospital saw over 13,800 animals, including over 600 Koalas, admitted into the hospital - treating, rehabilitating and nursing injured and orphaned wildlife due to severe drought and intensifying bushfires in the surrounding areas.
“Our native wildlife is one of the many reasons why tourists visit our beautiful country, and it is all of our responsibility to help protect our incredible wildlife,” Dhesi concludes.
