Martin Rinck Joins the Board as a Seasoned, Globally-Recognized Executive with more than 35 Years of Hospitality Experience.
Today, Small Luxury Hotels of the World Ltd (SLH) announced the appointment of Martin Rinck to the Executive Board. Martin is a seasoned hospitality executive with over 35 years of global experience in strategy, operations, business development, P&L and brand management, having held leadership positions at some of the world’s largest hospitality companies and bringing extensive business, talent, and stakeholder management expertise.
"Martin brings an incredible amount of experience that will be invaluable in helping to guide SLH forward,” said Shaun Leleu, Chairman SLH. “We look forward to working closely with Martin and leveraging his wealth of international luxury hotel experience and track record of growing brands, developing digital platforms and nurturing communities."
Most recently, Martin was the EVP & Chief Brand Officer at Hilton, where he led a portfolio of 18 award-winning brands across 6.5K+ hotels globally, developing and executing the enterprise portfolio strategy, while at the same time leading multiple ESG initiatives for the company. Prior to serving as the Chief Brand Officer, Martin was appointed to run the Luxury & Lifestyle division at Hilton following his successful tenure as President for Hilton in Asia Pacific, where he grew an estate of 90 trading and underdevelopment hotels to a portfolio of 600+ equity enhancing properties and successfully launched six new brands in the region. As the leader of the Luxury & Lifestyle division, Martin’s relentless execution of a turnaround and growth strategy led to this division becoming the fastest-growing luxury hotel company globally.
Martin is a global citizen with a strong desire to impact communities in the critical areas of sustainability and education. Throughout Martin’s long-standing career, which covers ten countries on three continents, he has been highly engaged with multiple NGOs in Cambodia, Indonesia, Bali, Singapore, and Washington, DC. He is also actively involved with Room to Read, a non-profit that supports the education of girls in developing countries.
As a member of the Executive Board, Martin will be integral in supporting the Shamoon family's strategic vision and growth plan for SLH, along with their continued expansion of independently owned and operated properties.

SLH recently unveiled its brand new Private Collection – a curated selection of 76 private SLH villas and accommodations across 28 countries, and debuted 13 new SLH members to its global portfolio.
