Five-star sanctuary to stage a series of full-day itineraries that will transport wellness-seekers from Heaven to Sea with a range of activities to enhance their physical, mental and spiritual wellbeing.
InterContinental Danang Sun Peninsula Resort, the five-star resort nestled in 39 hectares of nature on the Son Tra Peninsula, has revealed plans to host a new series of “Energy Zen Retreats,” rejuvenating full-day itineraries that have been carefully curated to enhance guests’ mental, physical and spiritual wellbeing.
Staged once a month from July to December 2023, these full-day holistic retreats will be co-hosted by Alyona, the resort’s Wellness Manager, Bao, the Personal Gym Trainer, and Trung Dao, the Tai Chi Master, who will lead a series of activities across the resort’s four levels: Heaven, Sky, Earth and Sea.
The experience starts with a nutritious buffet breakfast at Citron, the elegant restaurant perched in the hills 100 metres above sea-level, before a “Soaring Start” with personal introductions and healthy energy shots.
Participants will enjoy a “Heavenly Stroll” amongst the lush forest from Heaven to Sea, which is sure to improve mindfulness, before relaxing with an “Insync Meditation Ritual” and “Yoga Time,” overlooking the ocean.
Relaxing at a villa at Earth level, guests will have the opportunity to rest and regroup with a healthy lunch, a swim in the private pool, breathing exercises and an invigorating ice bucket cooldown. “Me time” is an important part of the wellness journey and guests will have the chance to enjoy some personal space with a dip in the ocean or pool, or simply time to reflect and relax on the beach. Bao and Trung Dao will lead optional “Body Pump” and “Tai Chi” sessions.
The resort’s dedicated Yoga Pavilion allows guests to achieve a sense of wellbeing overlooking the ocean
This immersive itinerary descends back to Sea level with a “Yoga Stretch” session and “Coconut Grove Zen” – a mindful meander through the resort’s coconut palms. Each person will be invited to write down three things that they are grateful for, to enhance mental and spiritual wellness, before Alyona turns up the music for a barefoot “Sunset Beach Boogie” on the sand.
The retreats will also encourage elements such as gratitude and nutrition for a holistic wellness experience
“At InterContinental Danang, we always strive to help guests achieve complete relaxation and revitalization, surrounded by nature. Our Energy Zen Retreats will let wellness-seekers travel through our resort, from Heaven to Sea, and enjoy a carefully curated programme that is sure to stimulate the body, mind and soul. We look forward to helping everyone achieve a sense of personal peace and harmony,” said Seif Hamdy, General Manager, InterContinental Danang.
