In line with Sydney Airport’s record growth, ibis budget Sydney Airport has added an additional 78 guest rooms to deliver an even greater offering to customers - now with a total of 287 rooms.
General Manager ibis budget Sydney Airport, Tom Marsic said that expanding the number of guest rooms with a superior offering addresses the strong demand from travellers looking for this type of accommodation with direct access to the terminals.
“Since opening in 2017, we’ve had an incredible response from travellers seeking contemporary and cost-effective accommodation, with the added convenience of being located on the airport precinct in close proximity to the terminals.
“We understand that after a long flight or during layovers customers are seeking a comfortable space with plenty of room to rest their head and our new expansion directly addresses this demand, enhancing their overall Sydney Airport experience.
“We look forward to showcasing our newly expanded guest rooms to our loyal business and leisure guests, and welcoming new guests,” concluded Mr Marsic.
As part of creating a relaxing hotel atmosphere, vintage aeronautical Pop art, inspired by the work of Roy Lichtenstein, features throughout the new guest rooms, redesigned reception area, lobby, and all public spaces.
Conveniently located on the airport precinct, ibis budget Sydney Airport is the perfect choice for customers seeking a quiet and comfortable space to relax between lengthy layovers and is just a short walk from the Domestic terminals or a 15-minute drive to the T1 International terminal.
Other convenient transport options for customers include catching the Airport Link train which is within walking distance to the hotel and a short 13-minute ride to Sydney’s CBD. Hopping in a taxi or taking advantage of the local shuttle service which operates to and from the airport, are also great options for customers staying at the hotel.
In addition, ibis Budget Sydney Airport now also offers onsite short and long-term car parking for customers wishing to travel in the comfort of their own car.
Travellers seeking delicious dining options throughout the day need only head next door to Mantra at Sydney Airport, where the all-day restaurant features a modern selection of breakfast, lunch and dinner options, whilst business travellers will find a convenient selection of conference facilities nearby the hotel.
