Quest Apartment Hotels, in partnership with the Pellicano Group, has added a 77-room hotel in Ballarat to its regional pipeline.
Developed in partnership with the Pellicano Group, the new Quest Ballarat Station forms part of the Ballarat Station Precinct Redevelopment Project, which has received over $25 million in state government funding.
The Ballarat Station Precinct Redevelopment Project features a multi-level car park, retail, restaurants, a bus interchange and public spaces.
The historic Goods Shed will also be retro-fitted with a multi-purpose convention centre.

1,700 square meters of event space, retail and dining will be operated by the Spotless Group for public and private use. James Shields, Quest General Manager – Growth, said the site offers business travellers the best on offer in Ballarat.
“We’ve engaged Pellicano for several new Quest Apartment Hotels properties in Melbourne, regional Victoria and Brisbane over the last decade. The mixed-use model offers guests more options and flexibility thanks to the variety of partners that get involved."
“This investment is transforming the precinct into a commercial hub that will attract major events, restaurants and retail to the City of Ballarat."
“We look forward to opening our second property in town with the completion of Quest Ballarat Station,” Mr Shields said.
Quest Ballarat Station is located on the V-Line railway service to Melbourne’s Southern Cross Station and within a short drive from Ballarat’s major universities, hospitals and government administration services. The precinct is expected to be completed in early 2021.
Quest Ballarat Station is one of eleven new Quest properties opening across Australia and New Zealand over the next two years. Other upcoming Quest Apartment Hotels include Orange (NSW), Goulburn (NSW), Joondalup (WA), Robina (QLD), Preston (VIC), Takapuna (NZ), Hastings (NZ), Christchurch – Cambridge Terrace (NZ), Mount Maunganui (NZ) and Mount Eden (NZ).
