Monopoly Property Group has announced its $42 million resort on the Yorke Peninsula will be rebranded to Wyndham Wallaroo Shores Resort under a new franchise agreement with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts.
Wyndham Hotels and Resorts is set to expand its presence in regional South Australia after adding a Yorke Peninsula resort to its portfolio.
Scheduled to open by 2023, Wyndham Wallaroo Shores Resort will offer 100 villas and a host of leisure facilities including swimming pools, tennis courts, barbecue areas, a gym, a 42-seat luxury cinema, and a function able to seat up to 150 guests.
The resort is the first stage of a $220 million mixed-use project spanning 18.5 hectares that is estimated to generate more than 1,000 jobs during construction.

Owners Monopoly Property Group engaged Savills to conduct the selection process for the venue, with Wyndham Hotels & Resorts emerging as the final choice.
Monopoly Property Group CEO Alex Paior said having Wyndham Hotels & Resorts onboard as a collaborator for the development was a "strong vote of confidence" for South Australia’s regional tourism market.
"Given the location and style of our resort, we feel that the upscale Wyndham brand is a strong choice and a great fit for us," he said.

Situated on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia and is a two-hour drive from Adelaide, Wallaroo is known for being a holiday hotspot for families thanks to its scenic walking, cycling and driving trails, while also providing plenty of highlights for foodies with its chic cafes serving freshly caught seafood.
