Perth’s new-look Parmelia Hilton brings hotel stays into the digital age. Parmelia Hilton Perth has undergone a major $45 million transformation which has introduced completely touchless technology, a new thoroughfare to Brookfield Place, and industry-defining standards of cleanliness and disinfection. The incredible new-look hotel is ready to welcome visitors from February 2021.

“This fabulous renovation of the iconic Parmelia Hilton Perth - 53 years young - truly makes it the city’s best connected hotel,” said Heidi Kunkel, vice president, operations, Australasia, Hilton. “The creation of a thoroughfare to Brookfield Place will directly connect guests to the heart of the CBD, plus with the introduction of Hilton innovations such as Digital Key and Hilton CleanStay, it will set a new standard for Perth hotel stays.”

“The hotel team are excited to welcome guests back after the 10-month renovation and showcase the hotel’s new features, which includes a grand lobby with locally inspired design and artwork reflective of the coastal landscape and cultural heritage that defines Western Australia,” she added.

The hotel is completely touchless with the use of Digital Key technology. Digital Key is a feature within the Hilton Honors mobile app that provides loyalty program members more choice and control over their entire travel experience. Members will enjoy popular digital tools available exclusively through the industry-leading Hilton Honors mobile app, where Hilton Honors members can check-in, choose their room and access their room, and most areas of the hotel, using their smartphone.

Parmelia Hilton Perth is also participating in the Hilton CleanStay Program and Hilton EventReady with CleanStay to help guests enjoy a clean and safe experience during their stay. The new standards under Hilton CleanStay include a Hilton CleanStay Room Seal to show that a room has not been accessed since being thoroughly cleaned and disinfected, additional cleaning of common areas and items, contactless check-in, innovative disinfection technology and flexible housekeeping options.

Some of the works carried out include:

• A complete revitalisation of the Lobby
• 32 new rooms
• The addition of an Executive Lounge
• Refurbishment to its restaurant – creating a new dining experience to be announced soon
• Integrated thoroughfare connecting the hotel lobby to Brookfield Place (Opening mid-February)

Cox Architects were the architects on the project, and the entire ethos and inspiration from the hotel design has derived from WA’s rich landscape. The interior Lobby features cool, calm sandy beige tones highlighted with blue hues to represent the coastal landscape. The wooden panelling in the runway from the Lobby to Brookfield Place has colour variations on the inner of the panels, transitioning from the desert pindan to the turquoise blues of the coast. The artworks also represent our coastal landscape and the history of the Parmelia.
