Pet lovers won’t be chasing their tail to find pet friendly accommodation any longer, with Quest Apartment Hotels making select rooms at thirty properties nation-wide equipped to cater to four-legged friends.
In locations across Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Perth and more, Quest will keep man’s best friend close, whether travelling for business or leisure.
The campaign responds to a surge in pet ownership, with an estimated 30.4 million pets across the country. Nationally, 69% of households now own a pet, up from 61% only two years ago.
The new offering also aligns with Quest’s emphasis on guest wellness. Animal Medicines Australia found that throughout the pandemic, the emotional and social benefits companions provided outweighed many of the challenges experienced, with 70% of respondents saying that being a pet owner improved their lives during the COVID-19 era.
Quest’s Chief Marketing Officer, Jeff Baars, says the company has seen search demand for pet friendly accommodation increasing alongside the adoption rate for both short and extended stays.
“Over the past 18 months there’s been clear and consistent increase in demand for pet friendly accommodation”, Mr Baars said.
“Our mission at Quest is to make the guest experience effortless, so we have taken these insights on board, listened to our customers and are rolling out the Paw-fect Travellers offering at 30 locations nationally, with even more hotels set to jump on board over the coming months.
“The primary reason people own a pet is companionship, and what we also know from listening to customers is that travel can sometimes be a little lonely, particularly for corporates who spend a lot of time on the road, so we hope the offering will make our guests feel even more comfortable and connected when they’re with us”.
Quest’s purpose-fit pet friendly rooms will come equipped with pet beds, food and water bowls, toys and other essentials to make the VIPs feel right at home.
Paw-fect Traveller rooms can be found here. Rooms can be booked at a small additional cost starting from $15.00 per night per pet*. Please call the property to book.
To celebrate the launch of the Paw-fect Travellers campaign, Quest has partnered with digital artist Oh Barney and pet accessory brand St Argo, giving three people the chance to win a weekend away at Quest, a bespoke pet portrait, leash and collar. Head to the @questapartments Instagram page to enter. Entries close 24 October.
*Conditional apply. Charges vary depending on length of stay. Minimum security deposit/bond of $250.00 per pet also applies.
