Travellers Rest Hotel sold by JLL Hotels Executive Greg Jeloudev.
JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group is delighted to announce the successful sale of the freehold interest in the Traveller's Rest Hotel in Long Flat, New South Wales.
The venue was sold to Flower Hotels, which is owned by Alistair and Renee Flower, and partners Debbie and Aage Christianson. The Christianson’s are local to the area and live in close proximity to the venue itself.
The hotel occupies a massive 9.5-acre lot and resides on the banks of the Hastings River with direct access to the Oxley Highway. Enjoying flexible RU5 Village planning regulations, the sale includes 4 valuable gaming machine entitlements and a midnight licence.
JLL Hotels Executive, Greg Jeloudev facilitated the off-market transaction on behalf of long-term private owners the Thompson family, who have been proud custodians of the venue. Known as an ‘institution’ for travelling motorbike enthusiasts, Traveller’s Rest Hotel will continue to be a favourite destination hotel.
Mr Jeloudev noted; “The acquisition of Traveller’s Rest Hotel by Flower Hotels is the groups 7th venue in the LGA of Port Macquarie-Hastings. This strategic acquisition reflects strong confidence in the area, and we wish Alistair and his team all the best with their new purchase.”
Traveller's Rest Hotel provides a diverse opportunity with its large landholding and direct access to the Hastings River. This provides scope to create boutique camping accommodation, with Flower Hotels excited to be welcoming tourists and holiday makers in the future. The acquisition complements the group's focus on its localised community strategy with an emphasis on establishing venues that are tailored to the appetite of the local community.
The sale of the Traveller's Rest Hotel is the fourth Mid Coast hotel recently sold by JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group, which follows the sales of the Australian Hotel in Wingham, the Royal Hotel in Taree, and the Plantation Hotel in Coffs Harbour.
JLL thanks the Thompson family for entrusting the firm with this important mandate and congratulate Flower Hotels on their new acquisition.
