The Expression of Interest for the Darwin Convention Centre Hotel is now open with six international hotel operators already interested in the project.
CBRE commenced market sounding for the investment opportunity last month and so far have received strong interest from both investors and hotel operators, including Accor, EVT, Intercontinental Hotel Group (IHG), Marriott, Radisson Hotel Group and Toga Far East Hotels (TFE).
The EOI is the first step in the competitive market process to secure a private sector proponent to build, own and operate a new hotel integrated with the Darwin Convention Centre.

“The Darwin Convention Centre Hotel is listed in the NT infrastructure plan and pipeline 2022 as one of the key projects that align with the strategy’s investment objectives, in particular, to invest in the right infrastructure, in the right place, at the right time.
“The Territory’s economic position is bouncing back from COVID-19 with investors actively looking for projects to undertake.”
