Daiwa Living Nesuto is pleased to announce the appointment of Damon Lunardello as General Manager of Nesuto Docklands. Damon will lead the group’s first new-build apartment hotel opening in Victoria this February.
With over 25 years in hospitality and sales, Damon’s management experience spans Australia, New Zealand, and the UK, across all facets of the industry including accommodation, food and beverage, gaming and sales.
In addition to hospitality, Damon’s experience includes real estate sales, and he was a successful business broker specialising in hotel leaseholds and freeholds.
Commenting on his appointment, Damon said, “I’m very excited to be part of the Nesuto Hotels team to launch the group’s first Victorian property, in my home state and a market I know well. Nesuto Docklands will be a flagship hotel for Nesuto, showcasing the latest and best of the Australasian brand, and we can’t wait to open the doors to guests.”

Alumni of the William Angliss Institute, Damon has performed numerous speaking engagements for students, and has been a member of the William Angliss Course Advisory Board. He has also held industry positions on the boards of the HMAA and Holmesglen Industry Advisory Board.
Damon has worked with local and international hotel brands including Radisson, Park Plaza International, Bayview International, Quest Apartment Hotels, and TFE Hotels, where he was awarded ‘Best in People Development’ and ‘Hotel Manager of the Year’ across more than 50 hotels.
Nesuto Docklands will be the first apartment hotel for Melbourne, VIC in the group and complement existing properties in Australian locations including Canberra ACT, Geraldton and Perth WA, Sydney, Parramatta, Pennant Hills, Central Coast NSW and Auckland New Zealand.
