NRMA Cairns Holiday Park is being brought to the market exclusively by leading specialist national brokerage firm, HTL Property.
The formal EOI campaign will be steered by Andrew Jackson, National Director and Paul Nyholt, QLD Director; on behalf of NRMA Parks and Resorts.
Strategically located in the globally renowned tourist mecca of Cairns, NRMA Cairns Holiday Park is only a few minutes from the vibrant Cairns CBD. This city and surrounds are alive both day and night with an abundance of tourist attractions such as the world heritage listed Great Barrier Reef, the Aquarium and Wildlife Centre; the Daintree Rainforest and the region's expansive, pristine beaches. While in the evenings tourists enjoy the lively night markets, exciting bars and the many restaurants which are often booked out well in advance.
NRMA Cairns Holiday Park operates as a pure holiday park catering primarily to backpackers, grey nomads and families who are attracted to the convenient location and quality accommodation. There are a total of 143 sites of which 125 are powered and unpowered sites - plus 18 cabins, studios and lodges. This inventory is complemented by high quality facilities such as a saltwater pool, BBQs, on-site kiosk, camp kitchen, recreation room and reception with tour desk and more.
“The Park occupies an unrivalled position in Cairns, and being the closest park accommodation offering to the CBD, enjoys a major advantage. It is ideally positioned on the CBD fringes which provides the perfect balance of a relaxing, holiday atmosphere, while still being amongst the ‘hustle and bustle’ of a major tourist destination” advised HTL Property Director, Paul Nyholt.
Cairns is truly a tourist mecca attracting visitors all year round; in the summer months the city welcomes international inbound tourists, predominantly from Asia; escaping their winter months. While in the winter time, Australians from the southern states head north for warmer weather.
In 2022, Cairns welcomed 2.5 million domestic tourists alone and who spent over $4.4 billion; and now with borders well and truly reopened, Cairns is experiencing a tourism boom like never before.
“The business is currently owned by a corporate, and run under management. We believe an incoming purchaser, particularly an owner operator, will be able to not only achieve cost efficiencies; but also implement revenue enhancement initiatives to further enhance the profitability of this already established and profitable operation” added Nyholt.
“These might include promoting the tour desk sales and introducing additional higher yielding cabins to the accommodation inventory in order to capitalise upon the strong existing demand” Nyholt concluded.
The business is being offered for sale via an Expression of Interest campaign closing at 4pm on Thursday, 23rd November 2023.
