NRMA Parks and Resorts has continued to expand its portfolio of premium holiday lodges and resorts parks with the beautiful Angourie Resort at Yamba on the mid-north New South Wales coast revealed as its latest resort acquisition, the company confirmed today.
The transaction was negotiated by JLL Hotels & Hospitality’s Senior Vice President, Andrew Langsford.
Angourie is a charming beachside town near Yamba on the northern tip of Yuraygir National Park. A favourite holiday stop on many north coast road trips, Angourie offers spectacular views of the Pacific Ocean and coastline, a glorious natural setting and a laid back, relaxed lifestyle. Angourie is renowned as a surf spot, boasting one of the best point-breaks in Australia and is often visited by the world's best surfers as well as keen amateurs and nippers!
The town of Yamba is just minutes away and has boomed in popularity in recent years as a more laid-back option to Byron Bay, retaining its sleepy coastal charm but still offering a range of great cafes, restaurants and activities to keep couples and families well-fed and entertained.
Angourie Resort is a popular nature styled resort that offers easy access to the idyllic subtropical rainforest which surrounds it, as well as pristine beaches and the famous surf break at Angourie Point. Angourie Resort features a range of modern self-contained accommodation including one-bedroom apartments and two-bedroom villas, perfect for couples, families and friends travelling together.
Guest facilities at Angourie Resort make holidays and events comfortable and easy, including the Cunjevoi Restaurant and Bar with its menu of freshly caught seafood and delicious cocktails, the popular Essential Elements Day Spa, a café and gym. Stylish, contemporary conference facilities make Angourie Resort an ideal location for corporate meetings and retreats as well as special celebrations like weddings, birthdays and anniversaries.
At the resort, guests can spend the days soaking up the sun in a cabana by the resort pool, enjoy a drink at the pool bar, or relax in the outdoor jacuzzi. Families with young children will love the kids’ pool and playground to help keep the little ones entertained.
The addition of Angourie Resort to the portfolio is the latest in a string of premier resort acquisitions for the member organisation, joining the recent onboarding of four resorts and lodges in Tasmania in a larger, more diverse and more appealing set of accommodation experiences stretching beyond the existing holiday parks portfolio for My NRMA members to save and enjoy on their holidays.
NRMA Parks and Resorts Chief Executive Officer Paul Davies said the addition of the Angourie Resort to the portfolio had been a long-term goal for the member organisation in a holiday hot spot for members.
“We’re thrilled to add Angourie Resort to our NRMA resorts and lodges portfolio, with its elevated holiday offering for guests that complements NRMA’s already extensive range of premium holiday parks,” Mr Davies said.
The transaction was negotiated by JLL Hotels & Hospitality’s Senior Vice President, Andrew Langsford.
“The regional destination resort market has shown remarkable resilience, and we expect Angourie Resort & Spa will continue to thrive under new ownership," Langsford added.
This transaction follows several other major hotel deals that JLL have conducted in the past 12 months including the Adelphi Hotel Melbourne, Fraser Place Melbourne, Mt Cook Collection in New Zealand and further sales to be announced in the coming weeks.
