Lanson Place Hospitality Management Limited is proud to unveil its inaugural 5-star boutique hotel in Australia, Lanson Place Parliament Gardens in Melbourne.
Scheduled to open and welcome guests from September this year, the opening marks a significant milestone for the brand which is renowned for its hotel properties across Asia.
Housed within the historic walls of the former Salvation Army printing press, located on the edge of the city in Albert Street, East Melbourne, this transformative $80 million project stands as a beacon of elegance.
The 5-star boutique property features 137 elegant accommodations, including hotel rooms, studio apartments, and 1- and 2-bedroom apartments.
The property will also boast two exquisite penthouses with panoramic views over Melbourne. Guests can enjoy world-class facilities such as a wellness centre with a 20m swimming pool, a 24-hour fitness centre, and a ground-floor restaurant and bar.
Michael Hobson, Chief Executive Officer of Lanson Place, shared his excitement about the launch of Lanson Place in Australia, stating ‘Melbourne has a unique appeal to domestic and international guests, with its sporting and cultural calendar which draws visitors consistently throughout the year.
We believe that Lanson Place will be a great fit for these guests, whether they are staying for a weekend getaway or a longer stay for work. We’re looking forward to a long future in Australia.’
Lanson Place Parliament Gardens stands as a testament to meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail. The hotel's interiors are adorned with 325 commissioned pieces of art and sculpture inspired by the building's storied past.
Guests will be greeted as they enter the hotel with a 40-metre ceiling installation, drawing inspiration from the native Melaleuca paperbark tree, which sheds layers, mimicking falling paper to link back to our heritage as the Salvation Army printing press headquarters.
The hotel’s owner representative, Xiaodan Zhu, echoes this sentiment, recognising the profound significance of the new venture.
"Our investment in Lanson Place Parliament Gardens reflects our unwavering commitment to preserving the city's architectural heritage while introducing a new standard of extended stay and hotel accommodation. We are confident that this landmark project will be the first of many in Australia."
Lanson Place Parliament Gardens has spared no expense to embody a harmonious fusion of timeless grandeur and modern elegance, combining their property experience to create a home-away-from-home feel for travellers.
Lanson Place General Manager, Marcus Packham, added his vision for the hotel, "Lanson Place Parliament Gardens epitomises more than just accommodation; our goal is to create a true ‘home-away-from-home’ for every guest."
Lanson Place has cultivated a distinguished legacy across the region. Lanson Place Parliament Gardens marks a significant addition to the brand’s esteemed portfolio, reinforcing its position as a leading provider of boutique accommodation.
