TFE Hotels has announced a raft of internal promotions across their Sydney operations with Senior Director of Operations ANZ, Tish Nyar, saying that he was incredibly proud of the in-house talent in region.

“It is fantastic to see some much going on in our portfolio,” Nyar said. “Each candidate has proven themselves in the operation and these promotions are well deserved. I feel confident TFE will rise to any challenges ahead with the team we have behind us.”

Liam Schutz, General Manager Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach Sydney

Liam Schutz has been promoted to Hotel General Manager of Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach, following  a successful stint as pre-opening General Manager at Adina Chippendale.

According to TFE’s Regional General Manager NSW/ACT, Emma Soutter, Liam’s journey with TFE Hotels began in 2013 as a Front Office Receptionist and his trajectory has been nothing short of remarkable.

“Over the years, Liam has evolved into a dynamic leader, most recently earning accolades including General Manager of the Year and the Outstanding and Inspiring Leader awards at TFE’s 2024 Regional Stronger Together Awards NSW/ACT.”

Under Liam’s leadership, the Adina Hotel Chippendale underwent a refurbishment, and he revitalised guest service standards, earning a spot among the top 15 hotels in Australia on TripAdvisor! The hotel was also shortlisted for the Apartment of the Year gong in the AAA Awards, highlighted the high standards and outstanding performance under his stewardship.

According to Soutter, Liam’s achievements at TFE have not been confined to operations.

“In 2019, Liam took the lead in rolling out Office 365 during a secondment with the Systems and Database team. Most recently, he has taken on the role as Project Lead for a strategic global project for Adina, where he has laid the groundwork for exciting developments at Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach,” she said.

“As Liam embarks on this new chapter at Bondi Beach, we have no doubt he will continue to shine and inspire those around him.”

Danielle Schadow, Hotel General Manger, Adina Apartment Hotel Sydney Chippendale

Straight from her a three-month stint in Europe as part of TFE’s Go Global International Exchange Program, Dani will hit the ground running in her first every GM gig as the newly appointed Hotel General Manager at Adina Apartment Hotel Chippendale.

“Dani's journey with TFE Hotels began back in 2015 at Adina Apartment Hotel Bondi Beach, says Regional General Manager NSW/ACT, Emma Soutter. “Over the years, she has excelled in various roles, leveraging her experiences and learnings from TFE’s in-house ACADEME program to move from strength to strength.”

Dani has worked across various hotels and brands in the TFE portfolio, where she not only supported hotel openings but also honed her operational expertise. Most recently, she was Executive Assistant Manager at Vibe Hotel Sydney, she successfully led her team through many challenges. In addition to her professional achievements, Dani is currently completing the Women in Leadership Australia’s Executive Ready program.

“As Dani transitions into her new role at Adina Apartment Hotel Chippendale, we are confident that her experience and passion for hospitality will inspire her team and elevate the Adina guest experience to new heights,” Soutter said.

Justin Style, Hotel General Manager, Vibe Hotel North Sydney

Justin Style has been promoted to Hotel General Manager at Vibe Hotel North Sydney, joining the team on 2 December.

Since joining TFE in 2015, Justin has navigated an incredible journey across the NSW portfolio, piloting multiple hotels to success. According to TFE’s Regional General Manager NSW/ACT, Emma Soutter, Justin has a stand-out record with stellar team engagement scores and robust owner relationships.

“As Hotel General Manager, Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport, Justin guided his team to remarkable achievements, including being named a finalist in TFE’s 2024 Global Stronger Together awards for Hotel of the Year – Full Service/Collection,” Soutter said. “As he embarks on this new chapter, we’re confident that Justin will bring his commercial acumen and passion for excellence to the North Sydney market, driving the hotel’s success forward.”
