JLL has appointed Julian Whiston as Head of Hotels and Hospitality - Value and Risk Advisory for Australia and New Zealand, effective 25 November 2024.
JLL Head of Value and Risk Advisory – Australia and New Zealand, Dale Winfield said, "We are thrilled to welcome Julian back to JLL. His extensive experience and deep industry knowledge will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our position in the hotels and hospitality sector across Australia and New Zealand."
Mr Whiston benefits from more than 30 years specialising in hotel and resort property valuations, transactional support, and investment consultancy services. During this period, he has undertaken assignments throughout Australia and the South Pacific as well as in Asia and Europe.
"Julian's return to JLL underscores our commitment to providing unparalleled expertise to our clients in the hospitality sector," Mr Winfield added. Prior to rejoining JLL, Mr Whiston served as Partner and Joint Head - National Hotels and Hospitality, Valuations and Advisory at Knight Frank Australia. He previously held the position of Managing Director at JLL Hotels and Hospitality where he had practiced for over 15 years.

Throughout his career, Mr Whiston has advised on a wide range of hospitality assets, from full-service city centre hotels to multi-faceted resort destinations. His expertise extends to venues and attractions of scale, including stadiums, music and major entertainment venues, theme parks as well as licensed premises.
Mr. Whiston is a Fellow of the Australian Property Institute (FAPI), a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (FRICS), and a Fellow of HOSPA (Hospitality Finance, Revenue and IT Professionals).
