EVT Hotels & Resorts has transformed the former Tank Stream Hotel into the stunning Rydges Australia Square, officially operating under this name from today, 23 January 2025.

The reimagined hotel reflects Rydges’ ‘refreshingly local’ ethos, offering guests a  premium experience in the heart of Sydney’s vibrant Central Business District (CBD) only  minutes from the city’s premier shopping destinations and iconic attractions, including  Pitt Street Mall, Circular Quay, Darling Harbour and convenient light rail, train, ferry and  bus transport links. 

This exciting new chapter comes after a comprehensive refurbishment that has  revitalised all guest rooms, the Executive Boardroom and the ground floor lobby areas.  Modern, comfortable, and stylish, the new rooms are designed to reflect the dynamic  culture of Sydney while providing a high level of comfort for both business and leisure  travellers.

Rydges Australia Square also boasts a range of upgraded facilities, including a  contemporary wine bar, Poco Local Wine Bar.

The transformation of Rydges Australia Square is a result of the collaboration between  EVT Hotels & Resorts, with interior design led by the EVT Design team and IGB Berhad, the owners of the property.
