Pan Pacific Perth announce the appointment of hotelier veteran Rens Breur as General Manager, bringing over 30 years of global hospitality expertise to the role. His appointment comes at a pivotal moment, as the hotel prepares to unveil its $50 million transformation this May, marking a bold new era for one of Perth’s most iconic properties.
“It’s an honour to lead the team at Pan Pacific Perth at such a defining moment,” said Rens Breur. “This transformation represents more than a renovation—it signals the beginning of a new chapter for one of Perth’s most iconic landmark hotels. With reimagined guestrooms, the city’s largest hotel event space, and a commitment to sustainable luxury woven throughout, we’re focused on delivering what meaningful hospitality and service excellence looks like today. I’m inspired by the team’s dedication and look forward to welcoming guests as we unveil this exciting new era in May.”
Rens is a well-known figure in the Australian hospitality landscape, having held senior leadership roles at The Langham Melbourne, Sofitel Gold Coast Broadbeach, and as part of the launch team for Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour in 2017. Most recently, he served as Managing Director, Hotel Operations & Development at Fine Hotels in The Netherlands, where he oversaw a portfolio of six properties with extensive F&B and MICE operations.
“We’re delighted to welcome Rens to the Pan Pacific Perth family,” said David Tonkin, Country General Manager, Oceania, Pan Pacific Hotels Group. “His extensive international experience, paired with a deep understanding of the Australian market, makes him the ideal leader to guide the hotel into its next chapter as we elevate our positioning in Perth and across the country.”
Rens has built a distinguished career across a portfolio of renowned hotel brands, including Relais & Châteaux, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Langham Hotels, and the ACCOR/Sofitel Group. He has since held senior leadership roles—rising through the ranks as Executive Assistant Manager, Hotel Manager, and General Manager—across North America, Europe, Middle East, Asia, and Australia.
