InterContinental Hotels Group unveiled its new 240 room InterContinental Hotel in Perth's CBD, the 6th InterContinental hotel in Australia located in The King Street Precinct.
Nestled amidst ‘The King Street Precinct’ with a charming heritage streetscape of theatres, cafes and luxe retailers, the new 240-room property is the latest offering from InterContinental - the world’s first international luxury hotel group.
Designed by Woods Bagot with interiors by Chada, the 16 storey InterContinental Perth City Centre combines distinctly West Australian details with global design and hospitality experiences.
Specially commissioned sculptures, paintings, bespoke ceramics and glass works by renowned WA artists feature together with a focus on regional food producers, growers, brewers and vignerons throughout the hotel’s stylish line up of restaurants and bars to proudly fly a local flag.
Meanwhile, an elegant residential feel to the classic rooms, studios and penthouse in understated taupe, olive and bronze hues – all with views over Perth’s cityscape - combined with a dedicated Club InterContinental ramp up the worldly sophistication factor. Club InterContinental guests have the exclusive benefit of retreating to the top floor, a sweeping space offering a la carte breakfast, all day refreshments, high tea service in the afternoon and canapés and drinks from sunset.
Beyond the hotel’s doorstep on Hay Street, His Majesty’s Theatre (home to the WA Opera, WA Ballet and Perth’s myriad cultural events); luxe retailers from Chanel to Kailis Pearls lining King Street and café filled laneways await, along with Perth’s business hub, city parks and the Swan River ferry options at Elizabeth Quay.
Adam McDonald, General Manager of the new InterContinental Perth City Centre commented: “The InterContinental Hotel brand has been offering luxury travel for over 70 years, and we are looking forward to our guests experiencing the sophistication of the InterContinental life at the new InterContinental Perth City Centre.”
“The details in our new hotel from the bespoke artwork, to the dynamic bars and restaurants and our signature Club InterContinental will impress, but it’s the welcoming service from our team, the local knowledge they’ll share and global etiquette they’ll extend that we’re most excited about,” he adds.
