A plethora of new developments around Sydney Harbour offer outstanding views, but developers are adding incentives to draw buyers in. To clinch the deal, many new projects are offering full-service packages such as fully-furnished units, or hotel-style services.

An example is the One Circular Quay tower, which offers its occupants to take advantage of the facilities of the nearby five-star Wanda Vista Hotel.

Beijing-based Michael Purefoy, deputy general manager of Wanda Group’s International Real Estate Center Project Management Department, says the project will lift Sydney’s standing in the worldwide property market.

“If you look at Sydney in the global context, and you put Sydney alongside New York, London and Hong Kong, then property prices in Sydney, I think, are ­undervalued,” he told The Weekend Australian. “Over the last few years Sydney has transformed and its ­become a global city. For certain projects that really appeal to an international audience, there is every opportunity that those projects are going to compete with other global projects like London’s One Hyde Park and One 57 in New York.”

Mr Purefoy oversees Wanda projects in London and Beverly Hills, and said One Circular Quay could join the global elite. “I think in Australia, Sydney is the one city that can do that,” he said.

“We are planning a limited release of 60 of our 190 apartments in the first ­release, with further releases at later points during the construction program.” Two-bedroom units will start around $5 million and three-bedroom units from $10m.

“Some of our prospective buyers are seeking to amalgamate, and we will work with buyers to ensure that we try to meet their lifestyle needs within the constraints of the building,” Mr. Purefoy said. “We are encouraged by the high level of demand for One Circular Quay from local buyers, who see this as an opportunity to live in the very heart of Sydney, with one of the world’s most sought-after views.”

Global trophy hunters are expected to chase the project which is set to smash records, according to selling agent and CBRE chairman Justin Brown.
