Wayne Bunz has commented, "As you may know, I have spent all of my life in the hotel industry, and worked as a chef for 16 years. I love to cook and food is possibly one of the greatest joys in my life, the bond it can create with people is immense. I am utterly privileged to have a great home, of which food is an integral part of our family life, where we get to sit around the table each night, sharing stories over a home-cooked meal."

"I recently undertook a ‘fast’ to shed some kilos post-Christmas, where I ate minimal food, and this truly made me realise how much joy in life I derive from food. I am sure you will agree, food is an important part of your life too. Think of this from a homeless person’s point of view."

"This year CBRE have entered a team at OzHarvest’s ‘CEO cookoff’ and I will be working alongside our CEO Phil Rowland to create a gourmet dinner to feed over 1,400 of Australia’s most vulnerable. OzHarvest is Australia’s leading food rescue organisation, collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it directly to more than 1,300 charities supporting people in need across the country."

Mr Bunz concludes, "I appreciate that you are hounded to raise money for various different charities and I respect your personal choice to donate to whatever cause you feel most strongly about. For every $1 donated to OzHarvest they can deliver 2 meals to those in need. On this occasion I am seeking your support to realise a personal goal of $15,000 which will ensure 30,000 meals get out to those people who need it most."
