Cedric Nubul is General Manager for the upcoming Hilton Singapore Orchard, set to be Hilton’s flagship and largest hotel in Asia Pacific opening in January 2022. Nubul currently oversees the SG$150-million hotel conversion and renovation of the 1080-room property as well as the development of exceptional dining and events offering, and future-forward sustainability programmes.
Hilton Singapore Orchard is Nubul’s third hotel conversion project. In his 20 years of experience, Nubul has led teams in converting, opening and operating hotels – expertise and knowledge that will serve him well in this strategic appointment.
With strong experience across key Hilton properties globally, Nubul is a relationship builder and culture changer who sees his role to be driving excellence, pushing boundaries, and energising the team.
An award-winning general manager, Nubul is an industry veteran who joined the company in 2000 in his native Paris. He previously worked across Spain, Italy, Maldives, and Malaysia in finance, commercial, and operational roles. He spent the last eight years in general manager roles in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Most recently as General Manager for Hilton Bogota, Nubul focused on creating outstanding experiences for guests. He led his team to win two Awards of Excellence for Hilton’s internal accolades in Americas (including Top Five for combined Overall Experience, Service, and Quality Assurance scores), the 2018 Food and Beverage Award of Excellence and being celebrated at the World Travel Awards for three consecutive years from 2017 to 2019 as the Leading Business Hotel for Colombia. In addition, Nubul himself was awarded Hilton’s General Manager of the Year Award for Americas and the President’s Excellence in Leadership Award for Americas.
A firm believer in giving back to the community, Nubul is also a strong advocate of Travel with Purpose, Hilton’s Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) strategy to redefine and advance sustainable travel globally. During his time in Colombia, he led his team to clinch two action grants awarded by Hilton, which supported projects that aided community education and enhanced the livelihoods of local farmers. In his new role, Nubul will continue to champion initiatives that drive positive social impact to local communities.
Nubul previously served as General Manager for Hilton Curacao, where he delivered the best financial year in the hotel’s 50-year history, leading the team to win Hilton Most Improved Gross Operating Profit Award and Most Improved Food and Beverage Award for Americas in 2015 (Service and Food Quality scores).
Nubul received a Master’s Degree in Hotel Management, Transportation, and Tourism from University of Paris XII and a General Manager Excellence Program certification from Cornell University. He currently resides in Singapore with his family.
