Daydream Island Resort and Living Reef is delighted to announce the appointment of Brenden van Blerk – The New General Manager of the Island.
Brenden brings decades of experience in the hospitality industry, with key leadership roles at IHG properties such as Director, New Hotels, Director of Operations Support & Franchise. He was the first ever General Manager for a voco hotel globally. This is only one of his many exciting career accomplishments.
Bringing 25 years in hotels to his new role, van Blerk developed and managed brands like Hilton, Marriott and Starwood in a diverse array of hotel styles, markets and hotel phases such as opening, conversion and renovation.
In his new role he will be in charge of the resort's operations as well as developing a distinct brand identity for the island and the Australian market.
"Our guests and delivering on the promise of a really unique island experience are my top priorities," says Brenden van Blerk.
