BIG4 West Beach Parks took out the ‘Caravan and Holiday Park’ category last night and was also awarded the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 South Australian Tourism Awards, run by the Tourism Industry Council of SA (TiCSA).
South Australia’s largest holiday park has been named the state’s best caravan and holiday park two years in a row and crowned the people’s choice.
BIG4 West Beach Parks took out the ‘Caravan and Holiday Park’ category last night and was also awarded the People’s Choice Award at the 2024 South Australian Tourism Awards, run by the Tourism Industry Council of SA (TiCSA).
The annual Awards, held at the Adelaide Oval, acknowledge business excellence and outstanding achievement in the state’s tourism industry across 26 business categories.
West Beach Parks Holiday Park, which can accommodate up to 3,000 guests at its West Beach site, is a back-to-back winner having last year won the ‘Caravan and Holiday Park’ award category.
“We have worked tirelessly and diligently, investing millions of dollars to ensure we continue to provide excellence in service, first-class facilities, and innovative and relevant guest experiences,” West Beach Parks CEO Kate Anderson said.
“At West Beach Parks, we meticulously consider, assess, and refine every detail to ensure that all guests feel welcomed, engaged, and eager to return,” she said.
In 2023/24, more than 71,700 guests visited the West Beach Parks Holiday Park and more than $2 million was invested in the site, including the launch of a state-of-the-art inclusive adventure play space,renovated activity centre and a new kiosk.
Ms Anderson thanked her team, guests and supporters for their loyalty and commitment to making West Beach Parks Holiday Park the best in the state and congratulated finalists across all award categories.
West Beach Parks Holiday Park was also awarded the People’s Choice Award (Accommodation), which is determined through votes from guests, supporters, and local communities.
Tourism Minister Zoe Bettison said: “All tourism operators in South Australia work incredibly hard to deliver exceptional tourism products making our state a must-visit destination for all types of travellers from all over the world.”
TiCSA chief executive Shaun de Bruyn said: "These awards showcase the exceptional talent and dedication of South Australia's tourism operators. Each of this year’s winners represents the spirit and commitment that make our state an incredible destination.”
West Beach Parks Holiday Park will go on to represent South Australia in the national Australian Tourism Awards to be held in Adelaide in March next year. The Park provides 338 caravan and tent sites, 132 self-catering cabins, six Eco tents and a luxury three-bedroom beach house. The holiday park is part of the West Beach Parks Precinct.
