Yeppoon’s popular Strand Hotel, which has been a part of the city’s landscape for over 60 years in Queensland’s central coast, is being offered for sale by Leon Alaban and Christian Tsalikis of Savills Hotels.
The Freehold Going Concern or Leasehold interest of ‘The Strand’, positioned on Yeppoon’s iconic beachfront is being marketed by way of Offers to Purchase at a time when arguably Australia’s most exciting Island Resort development is proposed to go ahead on Great Keppel Island.
Yeppoon, being the gateway to Great Keppel Island only 15km off shore, is expected to benefit from the proposed $300 million resort development which has been flagged for the island.
Brokering agent Leon Alaban of Savills Hotels has told The Hotel Conversation that The Strand hotel, which fronts the Yeppoon esplanade, was extensively renovated in 2013 to modernise the hotel and cater for the growing Yeppoon & greater Capricorn Coast population.
“Situated on the corner of Normanby Street and Anzac Parade, the hotel offers panoramic ocean views with the majority of the hotel facilities located on the ground floor, though there is a large upstairs component to the building”, Mr Alaban said.
“The property consists of a cafe bar, dining area, function & event space, gaming room with 24 EGM’s, QBar, beer garden and a drive-through bottle shop.”
“The Cafe Bar, Beer Garden, Bistro / Dining Areas and Gaming room were renovated to create a relaxing and inviting atmosphere whilst dining.”
Christian Tsalikis continued to state that Yeppoon is a popular destination for the residents of Queenland’s ‘Beef Capital’, Rockhampton, only 41km to the west.
“The Strand is the destination of choice for locals and tourists alike and has a name synonymous with Yeppoon.”
Offers to Purchase close Thursday, 15th November 2018 at 4pm AEST.
