Brisbane’s Little Big House is set for its next evolution following the sale of the leasehold to a locally-based hospitality group. CBRE Hotels National Director Paul Fraser negotiated the sale on behalf of the Solotel Group.
The Grey Street Hotel is located in South Bank’s Southpoint precinct, neighbouring the South Bank Train Station and the new corporate head offices of Virgin and Flight Centre.
CBRE Hotels National Director Paul Fraser negotiated the sale on behalf of the Solotel Group.
The new new owner is Little Big House Project headed by Managing Director Brett Fitzpatrick, the previous owner of Fitz+Potts in Nundah.
“We are now focused on reopening Little Big House and providing a great place for the community to eat, drink and socialise,” Mr Fitzpatrick said.
“We want to give back to the community, its local producers and brewers and showcase a warm welcoming place that offers good, old-fashioned, value for money.”
Located underneath The Emporium South Bank at 271 Grey Street, Little Big House is one of Brisbane’s most popular watering holes.
Mr Fitzpatrick noted; “We’ve worked closely with the project management team at Winchester Group to ensure we’re delivering an exceptional food and beverage offering to rival some of Brisbane best pubs. With the ability to employ 45 staff from the local community and cater to 500-plus people, via function spaces, a café, private dining room and beer garden, this is going to be a great venue to socialise with friends, colleagues and family.”
Solotel Group CEO Elliot Solomon wished the new owners future success.
“It’s a great venue and we wish the new owners all the best and look forward to seeing what comes next for Little Big House,” Mr Solomon said.
CBRE Hotels’ Mr Fraser added; “The sale demonstrates the robust nature of the hospitality industry and the ongoing demand for high profile pubs in key South East Queensland locations, even during challenging periods.”
“We wish to thank Solotel for entrusting us with this high profile mandate and we look forward to Little Big House taking a new direction in servicing the local community when it reopens at the end of this month.”
