At the center of Australia’s first UNESCO world heritage listed locality, Shark Bay waterfront Heritage Resort and Blue Dolphin Caravan Park for sale by CBRE Ryan McGinnity and CPBA Dale Wood.
CBRE’s Ryan McGinnity and CPBA’s Dale Wood have been appointed to manage the sale, either together or separately, however, with a combined land area of over 2Ha of waterfront land, these two sites are ideally suited to a combined sale and provide a fantastic future redevelopment opportunity.
Developed over 5,366sqm the Heritage Resort comprises of a 27 room 4 Star Motel and Hotel with Bottle shop, Bar and Bistro, fronting Knights Terrace and overlooking the magnificent waters of Shark Bay. Directly behind the resort is the 15,000 sqm Blue Dolphin Caravan Park catering for drive in drive out visitors to the area, with powered and unpowered sites.
As part of Australia’s first UNESCO world heritage area, Shark Bay remains one of the few places in the world to achieve this unique status. Meeting the status criteria, Shark Bay comprises exceptional natural beauty, a rich connection to the Earths history, ongoing evolution as well as many threatened native species still visible within a 2.2M Ha wilderness.
Mr McGinnity said “These two properties not only offer outstanding immediate business opportunities, but the prospect of a much larger redevelopment in the future, to cater for the large numbers of tourists flocking to the North West Coast. The ability to explore the large number of bays, inlets, and islands, and witness some of the worlds most endangered species in their natural habitat, it offers a unique and special experience.”
“It is for these reasons, along with a sustained effort by the Government to have Australian’s holiday at home, that we believe Shark Bay will be a destination of choice for tourists and business operators,” Mr McGinnity explained.
Mr Wood went on to say, “having witnessed the increased level of demand from domestic travelers since the onset of COVID 19, which shows no signs of slowing, we expect strong interest from national operators and private groups”.
“Given the current domestic spend on Off Road vehicles and larger vehicles capable of towing caravans and boats, the coastal drive route from Perth to Geraldton, Kalbarri, Shark Bay, Exmouth and Broome are experiencing record visitation, which we expect to continue for many years to come,” Mr Wood added.
