The South Australian pub market is in full swing with JLL Hotels & Hospitality, in conjunction with TJ Board Pty Ltd, announcing the off-market sale of the Empire Hotel, Kilburn to ASX-listed Endeavour Group (formerly ALH) for $11.5 million.

As part of an ‘Invitation Only', off-market EOI process, the freehold going concern opportunity was presented to a select number of qualified clients. The discreet sales campaign generated bids not only from local publicans but multiple interstate hotel groups seeking a first asset in the growing Adelaide hotel market.  

Located just 7km north of the Adelaide CBD on the coveted left-hand side of a major arterial road, interested parties were drawn to the significant 7,604sqm landholding with schemes for future mixed-use development, 33 EGMs and expansive bar, bistro and drive-through bottle shop facilities.

The South Australian pub market has witnessed heightened transaction activity in recent times with a slew of national hotel groups such as Black Rhino Group and Australian Venue Co. increasing their local footprints alongside the acquisitive Duxton Pub Group.
