A Premier vineyard in Australia's Pinot Noir Heartland Wilson's Promontory for sale through Savills agents Benson Zhou and Beau Bakhtani.
Savills have been appointed as exclusive agents for the sale of the renowned Waratah Hills Vineyard, an esteemed family-run vineyard nestled at the gateway to Victoria's renowned Wilson's Promontory.
The property, boasting a prime location in the coveted Gippsland wine region, presents a unique lifestyle and tourism opportunity for discerning investors and wine enthusiasts alike.
The current owners have invested heavily into the existing facility.
Known for its tightly planted, trellising style reminiscent of Burgundy, the vineyard focuses on cultivating premium Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, benefiting from South Gippsland's cool, maritime climate, widely acclaimed for producing exceptional Pinot Noir wines.
Mr Zhou said, “We are delighted to bring Waratah Hills Vineyard to market.
The Waratah Hills Vineyard is spread across a total landholding of 12.14-hectares with almost 4 hectares under plantation, approximately apportioned to three hectares of Pinot Noir production and one hectare of Chardonnay,” said Mr Zhou
“The vines were planted 27 years ago, with dense planting and low trellising inspired by the great wines of the Burgundy region. The vineyard was established under the consulting eye of Gippsland legend Philip Jones (of Bass Philip fame) one of Australia’s leading Pinot Noir producers and a pioneer of this burgeoning climate region,” said Mr Zhou
“Waratah Hills Vineyard offers a fantastic opportunity to acquire a highly established estate underpinned by key infrastructure including a cellar door, café and kitchen garden. The property also has the flexibility for further development of boutique accommodation or vineyard expansion (STCA),” commented Mr Bakhtani.”
Strategically situated just a two-hour drive from Melbourne, Waratah Hills Vineyard enjoys proximity to Wilson's Promontory National Park, a major tourist attraction drawing over 700,000 visitors annually. The property's central location within the Gippsland region provides easy access to the area's natural wonders, charming villages, and cultural landmarks, making it an ideal destination for wine tourism.
Expressions of Interest for Waratah Hills Vineyard are now open, with the deadline set for Wednesday, May 8th, at 2 pm.
This is a rare opportunity to own a piece of Australia's premier Pinot Noir-producing landscape.
