A unique chance to acquire a landmark property, Western Australia's award-winning winery Castelli Estate for sale by Boutique Property and Advisory.
A unique chance to acquire a landmark property in Western Australia's pristine Great Southern region has emerged, with Mt Shadforth Estate near Denmark coming to market.
Spanning approximately 55-hectares of prime land, roughly 4 kilometres west of Denmark, this exceptional offering includes state-of-the-art tourism facilities, stunning ocean views, and a thriving vineyard and winery.
While currently operating as award-winning winery Castelli Estate, the property’s expansive grounds and existing infrastructure present diverse opportunities for prospective buyers.
The estate’s 8-hectares of established chardonnay and pinot noir vines are just one aspect of this multifaceted offering.
A licensed 120-capacity restaurant adds a significant hospitality dimension, featuring a 60-person undercover dining area and a spacious grassed area perfect for events.
The welcoming cellar door complements these facilities, creating a comprehensive visitor experience. Adding to its potential as a concert venue, the estate holds approval for four outdoor events each year.
Accommodation options on the property cater to a range of needs, with five luxurious fully furnished one-bedroom suites, and an additional six bedrooms and three bathrooms available upstairs in The Lodge.
A newly constructed 5-bedroom homestead and a separate workers’ cottage with 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom provide ample space for employee accommodation, guests, long or short stay rental and, or tourism opportunities.
With frontage to four streets, the estate also offers unparalleled views of the surrounding natural beauty.
Panoramic vistas sweep across the Scotsdale Valley, showcasing majestic Karri trees, Mount Lindesay, Wilson’s Inlet, and stretching all the way to the vast expanse of the Southern Ocean. These breathtaking views not only enhance the property’s aesthetic appeal but also contribute to its potential as a premium tourism destination.
The estate’s commitment to sustainability is evident in its partially renewable energy-powered operation, including a dedicated solar generation system that reduces reliance on grid energy.
While the property is being offered for sale, the Castelli family emphasises that this move is not an exit from the wine business.
Castelli Group Director Adam Castelli said the award-winning Castelli Estate wine brand would continue under the family’s stewardship.
“Our decision to sell the property doesn't change our commitment to the Castelli Estate wine brand,” he said.
“We’re proud of the reputation we’ve built, and we’ll continue to produce the premium wines our customers have come to expect.”
Mr Castelli explained the sale would allow Castelli Group to streamline its operations and focus on new growth areas, while ensuring the estate could reach its full potential under new ownership.
“This property has been the heart of our family's winemaking journey for two decades,” Mr Castelli said.
“While it’s bittersweet to offer it for sale, we’re excited about the opportunities this presents, both for a potential buyer and for the future focus of our business.
“The estate has so much to offer beyond just winemaking – it’s a versatile property with incredible potential.”
The property is being sold via an expressions of interest campaign conducted by Boutique Property and Advisory.
