Specialist national brokerage firm HTL Property announces the sale of the former Byng Street Boutique Hotel located at 62 Byng Street, Orange.
HTL Property Directors Nic Simarro and James Carrick steered the expression of interest sales process on behalf of Denoc Holdings Pty Ltd.
Travellers Group, a proudly Australian, start-up accommodation group, has acquired the former Byng Street Boutique Hotel. The group is led by Craig Smith (ex-Area General Manager Minor Hotels & Accor) and Alex Dignam, Chairman (former UBS Australia and NZ MD), in partnership with Wattlestone, a private investment group owned by Queensland businessman, Andrew Northcott.
Travellers have had a busy run in 2024 with the acquisition of properties in Emerald (QLD) and Dubbo (NSW) before taking the keys at 62 Byng Street, Orange.
The former Byng Street Boutique Hotel will relaunch under a new name in December, ushering in a new chapter that honours its legacy while enhancing the guest experience.
The hotel comprises 22 upscale rooms and suites spanning across the property's original heritage wing to the architecturally designed contemporary extension.
"We're excited to build on this property's rich history, using our expertise to create an exceptional guest experience," said Craig Smith, Managing Director of Travellers Group.
"We look forward to welcoming all guests, past and present, to the newly established hotel" added Smith.
“The former Byng Street Boutique Hotel generated significant interest with 7 written offers to purchase the freehold component; and 3 for the business” advised HTL Property Director, Nic Simarro.
“This result illustrates a strong sign that there remains demand for core assets in key locations” added Simarro.
“We firmly believe Travellers Group will exceed client expectations at the highly regarded boutique hotel, and look favourably forward to watching the group’s stewardship of this regional institution unfold” Simarro concluded.
