Russell Rogers of ResortBrokers in conjunction with Burgess Rawson agent Guy Randell, offer the freehold going concern of Alpha Hotel & Apartments Canberra for sale.
Burgess Rawson, in conjunction with ResortBrokers, has listed the freehold going concern of Alpha Hotel & Apartments in Canberra.
ResortBrokers’ longtime South Coast NSW agent Russell Rogers and Burgess Rawson’s Guy Randell are marketing the hotel via an expressions of interest campaign closing Friday, 9 May 2025.
Opened in 1997, the 100-key Alpha Hotel is located in Greenway, 20 minutes’ drive southwest of Parliament House.
The property, which has a mix of rooms, studios and one- and two-bedroom apartments, occupies an almost 10,000 sqm lot on Rowland Rees Crescent.
“Canberra hotels are very tightly held, making this a rare opening to get a foothold in Canberra’s accommodation market,” said Mr Rogers.
“Alpha Hotel is the largest hotel in Greenway and has limited competition now the 82-key Abode was converted to strata title. It’s a solid four-star hotel and very versatile with appeal to both corporate and leisure guests.”
“Greenway itself is undergoing significant urban renewal. This year, construction is due to begin on the new $16.2 million Canberra Arena, which will be built further along Rowland Rees Crescent. Greenway also has South Point, one of Canberra’s largest shopping centres, and the popular Canberra Southern Cross Club.”
“Alpha Hotel already has the scale at 100 keys to accommodate school groups, weddings and conferences, and is ready to capitalise on the new influx of visitors once Canberra Arena is operational.”
