Brisbane's $5.4 billion Cross River Rail project has taken another step forward with the appointment of a demolition contractor to remove the nine story Landcentre building and old South Brisbane Dental Hospital at Woolloongabba.

The Brisbane Transit Centre and Hotel Jen building will be demolished by 2020 to make way for the new underground Roma Street Station as part of the $5.4 billion Cross River Rail and 'Brisbane Live' project.
