The freehold going concern interest in the Howlong Hotel Howlong NSW sold by JLL Hotels Executive, Greg Jeloudev, facilitated the off-market transaction, with the pub being sold to regional publican Adam Drabarek. The Howlong Hotel is Mr Drabarek’s second venue and complements the large-format Imperial Hotel in Coonabarabran.
JLL Hotels & Hospitality Group is delighted to announce the successful sale of the freehold going concern interest in the Howlong Hotel, Howlong NSW.
The venue was sold on behalf of Andrew & Bernadette Kelly who have owned and operated the venue for over 17 years. Howlong is newly refurbished, with the Kellys undertaking works during the COVID-19 lockdown period.
The hotel occupies a prominent 2,023sqm corner site with the building being of single level brick construction. Internally, the venue is a single bar operation which minimises staffing costs and improves ease of operations. The sale includes 7 highly prized gaming machine entitlements which complement the sound mix of trade.
The town of Howlong is situated 28km west of Albury and is positioned on the Murray River. Located on the Riverina Highway, Howlong Hotel provides direct access between the states of New South Wales and Victoria.
Mr Jeloudev notes, “Diversification continues to be the theme in 2022, with venues displaying a well-balanced mix of trade being highly sought. With unprecedented capital pouring into regional NSW, buyers are actioning aggressive acquisition strategies to achieve scalability.”
The sale of the Howlong Hotel demonstrates JLL’s dominance in the NSW regional mid-market sector. The diminishing supply of gaming continues to drive capital values, with demand continuing to outstrip supply at an unparalleled level.
JLL thank the Kellys for entrusting the firm with this important mandate and congratulate Mr Drabarek on his new acquisition.
