InterContinental Hotels Group has signed Australia’s First Hotel Indigo to be built in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) and Pointcorp, have signed a management agreement for a new build Hotel Indigo, to be located in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
The 140-room hotel on Brunswick Street is the first Hotel Indigo signing for Australia and New Zealand and is due to open in 2020.
Hotel Indigo is IHG’s lifestyle boutique hotel offering. Each hotel is designed to reflect the culture, history and heritage of its local neighbourhood. The building’s design, the hotel’s artwork and locally-inspired menus are conceived to give guests a boutique hotel experience
Launched in 2004, Hotel Indigo is the world’s first globally branded boutique hotel brand. There are 72 Hotel Indigo properties globally with 68 hotels in the pipeline. Hotel Indigo launched in Asia Pacific in January 2015 with the opening of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road, Thailand, followed by the opening of Hotel Indigo Singapore Katong, Singapore in June 2016. In 2017, Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak Beach will open.

Hotel Indigo Brisbane Fortitude Valley will be part of a mixed-use development, which will include residences, commercial office and retail, it is expected to be the first development of its kind in the area, creating a new epicentre for The Valley.
