Scott Callow and Will Connolly of CBRE Hotels are pleased to announce the sale of the Best Western Plus Brooklands Hotel for circa $9 million; highlighting the strong continued demand for investment opportunities in the Mornington Peninsula.
Brooklands is one of the Mornington Peninsula's best accommodation, wedding and function facilities. The property features 53 (4 star) guest rooms and a magnificent indoor pool with accompanying gymnasium.
The property has a strong trading history and goodwill, with significant ongoing investment in improvements and guest facilities.
One of the key features that appealed not only to hotel owners and operators, was the large land holding on the beach side of Nepean Highway. The location provides a short walk to Mornington's popular Main Street shopping and restaurant precinct, and a walk to both Mother's and Mill's Beaches which are safe swimming locations.
“It was only the second time the asset had been available to purchase, which is why we saw significant interest from a mix of owner operators, investors, business buyers and developers,” Mr Callow said.
The successful buyers were experienced accommodation operators and investors from Melbourne, who will continue to operate the hotel operation into the future.
