iProsperity won the prestigious “Hotel Deal of the Year” award at the recent HotelsWorld 2017 conference for the acquisition of Novotel Glen Waverley, brokered by Colliers International.
Brokering agents Gus Moors, Karen Wales, Neil Scanlan and Guy Wells of Colliers International Hotels congratulate iProsperity on winning the prestigious “Hotel Deal of the Year” title for the acquisition of Novotel Glen Waverley at the recent HotelsWorld 2017 conference, 25-27 July 2017.
Purchased for $73.6 million in December 2016, the Novotel Glen Waverley is a 200-room hotel in the Melbourne suburb of Glen Waverley.
A panel of leading hotel professionals selected this deal from over 50 transactions over the past 12 months. The property was sold by a private syndicate GW Hotel Investments who had held the asset for over 20 years.
Subsequent to acquiring the Hotel, iProsperity purchased the adjacent 8,352 sqm Century City Walk entertainment and lifestyle shopping mall for $45 million, again through Colliers International. The combined site now represents over 10,000 sqm and offers the potential for joint commercial–residential development in the future.
iProsperity continues to build an excellent hotel platform, having acquired Park Regis and 333 Kent Street in Sydney in 2016.
