Taking inspiration from the local alpine scenery, and adding curated décor has created the next offering in QTs iconic style.
QT calls itself: ‘not an ordinary hotel, it’s anything but. It’s an eclectic mix of design and art. It’s style and luxury with a touch of quirk.’ Their new property, QT Queenstown opened its doors on December 1, 2017 and continues this signature theme while taking inspiration from the local surrounding environment.
With stunning views of the crystal clear Lake Wakatipu and the breathtaking peaks of the Southern Alps, this lush lakeside resort fuses nostalgic alpine with après-ski ambiance. The hotel has 69 luxurious, contemporary boutique guest rooms created by renowned designer, Nic Graham. The room’s imaginative minibars offer local delights such as iconic Remarkables Sweets and socks made from local merino wool.
QT’s Director of Hotels and Resorts Operations Norman Arundel said, “We’re pleased to bring QT to Queenstown in a market that’s thriving. We believe Queenstown to be one of the most exciting destinations in the world and we are thrilled to have been able to develop a QT in such a stunning location.”
“The best experiences in NZ are found when you get to know a local who knows the land. From the woman who spins yarn for us in Arrowtown, to the man on the North Island who handcrafted pieces of our rooms”, says Anna Roberts on curating the QT Queenstown guest experience.
QT Queenstown’s Bazaar Interactive Marketplace and Reds Cocktail Bar offer stunning views over Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables.
According to QT, at Bazaar, adventurous foodies will be tempted to take part in the delicious and theatrical mosaic of international cuisines. Chefs cook before your eyes in a buzzing setting where their creations draw inspiration from the fresh produce of Central Otago. QT says Reds Cocktail Bar is a spectacular setting to watch the sunset across the majestic Remarkables, Reds excites wine connoisseurs and mixology fans.
Both food destinations have been curated with bold design and custom furniture, and continue the quirky look and feel for which QT has become renown.
